Accompanied by Hawke’s Bays finest wines, Ya Bon bread, edible flowers and seasonal fruit & vegetables, this is a experience you won’t want to end. Held in my home, above Black Barn Vineyards, or a venue of your choice, it can be a lunch or light supper.

  • Each tasting is private, there are no scheduled tastings or Tours

  • You need to make your own way by car or e-bike to my home 79 Black Barn Rd above the winery

  • 2 - 19 people [or up to 150 at another venue)

  • The tasting takes about 2.5 - 3 hours so ideally lunch from1130 -1400 or light supper from 1800 - 2030

  • Minimum 18 hours notice, preferably more than 3 days

Host a Cheese & Wine Experience in your home, bach or hotel! Simply buy 2 bottles of wine [not included in the price] from Black Barn cellar door, collect your CHEESE KIT and head home. Light the fire or put up the parasols and discover the good, the bad, and amazing results of matching cheese with wine.

The kit contains:

  • 6  delicious artisan New Zealand cheese [approximately 100gm pp]

  • Apples, biscuits & Chutney and cider

  • Instructions from the Grand Master [Juliet]

  • Tasting Mat to layout the cheese in the right order!

  • Booklet to record your tasting notes
